NJ Spotlight News

At NJ Spotlight News, a news division of NJ PBS, I specialize in video production, from directing shoots to editing and post-production, bringing ideas to life through compelling visuals. Collaborating with reporters, I create engaging digital content that enhances their storytelling.

I had the chance to tell the story of Flavors by Bhumi, a small NJ family business built on love for rare citrus and bold flavors. Seema and Vivek welcomed us into their world, where a single yuzu tree sparked a journey that now supports top chefs across the U.S.

I worked with our reporter to bring her grandmother’s WWII internment camp story to life, blending archival footage and B-roll into a powerful, emotional video.

As part of a team, I helped produce Gotta Know Jersey, a civics-focused series designed to explain how government works and empower the public to get involved. I was responsible for setting up the camera, lighting, and props for filming, as well as handling the editing process.

A story on a father and daughter, among many Chinatown families, fighting the proposed 76ers arena development in Philadelphia—shot and edited by me.

I produced a video story on location about a multigenerational NJ butcher family whose youngest son opened a vegan shop—giving their long-standing business a bold, new direction.

Party Games is an occasional video series that fosters civil dialogue on some of the biggest issues in the 2024 election. I was in charge of editing a three-camera interview and creating promotional and social media clips to support the series.
